Meet Michael Kitchener

Michael picked up the guitar at 11 and joined his first band at 14, quickly becoming active in the Gauteng live music scene. He studied jazz guitar at Tshwane University of Technology to expand his versatility and has since built a career in the Afrikaans session industry, working with artists like Barto and Chris Steyn.

With years of teaching experience across multiple Pretoria music schools, Michael brings a passion for helping students grow musically—whether on bass, guitar, or ukulele. His lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and skill level, from casual campfire players to aspiring live performers.
